Wikipedia defines smartphone as “high-end mobile phone built on a mobile computing platform, with more advanced computing ability and connectivity than a contemporary feature phone.” Smartphones are different from the normal mobile phones in several ways. Smartphones are multipurpose devices that are a combination of several other devices such as PDAs, cell phones, gaming consoles, and personal computers. It started its journey as a PDA and camera phone rolled into one. However, today’ models do not restrict themselves to these as they include the functions of portable media players, pocket video cameras, digital cameras, and GPS navigation units as well. Apart from that, smartphones have touchscreens, Apps, web browsers, Wi-Fi, mobile broadband and so on.

Smartphones are gaining in popularity. According to Gartner, smartphone sales show an upward trend each passing year and by 2013, smartphone sales will surpass that of PC sales. However, today’ mobile users are a bit confused when it comes to choosing a smartphone. iPhones
iPhones are smartphones marketed by Apple Inc. The five generations of iPhone models are iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The incredible features of Apple mobiles are the following.

A natural language voice control system, it functions as an intelligent software assistant, knowledge navigator, and a personal assistant application for iOS.
